Easy Rental in 8 Steps

At Mitt Släp, our mission is to make trailer rental fast, simple, and fair for everyone. We know that moving furniture, doing a big shopping trip, or making a run to the recycling center can sometimes be a hassle. That's why we created a service that lets you easily find, book, and use a trailer — all within minutes, right where you live.

01

Book your trailer online

Visit rent.se (or the Mitt Släp booking page) and choose the trailer you need at the station closest to you. Select your rental period, confirm your booking, and pay securely online. You'll immediately receive a confirmation and a unique booking link.

02

Unlock your trailer

At the station, use the booking link you received via SMS or email to unlock your trailer. The system is fully digital — no paperwork, no waiting in line.

03

Position the trailer correctly

Pull or roll the trailer so that the coupling head (the “glove”) is directly above the tow ball of your vehicle. Make sure the trailer is aligned straight behind your car for a safe and secure connection.

04

Lower and secure the coupling

Turn the crank on the support wheel slowly to lower the trailer until the glove firmly locks onto your car's tow ball. You should hear or feel it click into place. Double-check that the coupling is properly seated by lifting the trailer slightly — it should not detach.

05

Attach the electrical connector

Plug the trailer's electrical connector into your vehicle's socket. This ensures your trailer's brake lights, indicators, and tail lights all work correctly. Test them before driving away.

06

Secure the safety cable

Hook the safety cable onto your vehicle's tow bar as an additional security measure in case the coupling disconnects. Then, release the trailer's handbrake so it can move freely with your car.

07

Raise the support wheel fully

Crank the support wheel back up, fold it into its locked position, and make sure it is secured tightly. This prevents it from touching the ground while driving.

08

End or extende your booking easily

Once you're done using the trailer, return it to the same station in the same condition. Use your booking link to end the rental. If you need more time, simply extend your booking through the same link before your time expires.
